The Divisional Progress Review Workshop of the Livestock & Dairy Development Project (LDDP) was held 26 July 2025 at the Victoria Convention Hall, Rajshahi. The event, organized by the Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and the LDDP Rajshahi division, brought together key officials and stakeholders to review the ongoing progress of the project in the region.
The workshop was graced by Dr. Md. Abu Sufiun, Director General of the Department of Livestock Services, as the Chief Guest. Among the Special Guests were Dr. Begum Shamsunnahar Ahmed, Director (Extension), and Dr. A. B. M. Khaleduzzaman, Director (Production), both from the Department of Livestock Services. Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin, Project Director of LDDP, DLS, Dhaka, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the objectives and achievements of the project so far, especially in improving livestock productivity, milk yield, and farmers’ livelihoods. The workshop was chaired by Dr. Anonda Kumar Adhikary, Director, Rajshahi Division, DLS, who emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and sustainable development strategies to achieve the long-term goals of the LDDP. Officials from various districts under Rajshahi division, field-level officers, and representatives from partner organizations participated in the program. Discussions focused on project implementation updates, field-level challenges, best practices, and future plans to further strengthen the livestock and dairy sector in the region.
