| In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership and accelerate technology-driven, sustainable growth in Bangladesh’s livestock and aquaculture sectors, ACI Animal Health has appointed Jayanta Dutta Gupta as its Executive Director and Head of Animal Health Business.
A seasoned corporate leader with more than three decades of experience in the livestock, aquaculture, and crop care industries, Jayanta Dutta Gupta brings extensive expertise in business expansion, market development, brand management, supply chain operations, commercialization of innovative products, and strategic business planning. Industry stakeholders believe his leadership will further enhance ACI Animal Health’s innovation, market presence, and farmer-focused services. Before joining ACI Animal Health, Jayanta Dutta Gupta spent nearly 27 years at Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, where he most recently served as General Manager and Head of the AgroVet & Crop Care Division. During his distinguished career, he played a pivotal role in driving market growth, introducing new technologies, strengthening supply chain management, and successfully commercializing innovative agricultural and animal health solutions. He also worked closely with research organizations, policymakers, international technology partners, and industry stakeholders, contributing significantly to the development of Bangladesh’s agriculture and livestock sectors. Academically, Jayanta Dutta Gupta holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacology from India, along with an MBA in Marketing. He has also completed several executive development and professional training programs in leadership, strategic management, marketing, business development, and supply chain management both at home and abroad, further strengthening his strategic leadership capabilities. Upon assuming his new role, Jayanta Dutta Gupta said, “I am delighted to rejoin ACI.
