| The International Society of Aquaculture Nutrition (ISAN), a non-profit scientific organization based in Texas, USA, has officially nominated prominent Bangladeshi aquaculture nutritionist Saifi Nasir as a proud member of the organization on May 10, 2026.
Established in October 2025, ISAN is dedicated to advancing global collaboration in fish and crustacean feed nutrition, sustainable aquaculture, production innovation, and aquaculture management. The organization works to connect researchers, industry professionals, and institutions worldwide to promote scientific knowledge, sustainable aquaculture practices, and innovation in aqua nutrition. The organization also focuses on strengthening global cooperation in aquaculture nutrition research, aqua feed production, and nutritional physiology. Through training, capacity building, scientific publications, and collaborative initiatives, ISAN aims to support the dissemination of knowledge and technological advancement in the aquaculture sector worldwide. The membership nomination of Saifi Nasir was approved by ISAN President Professor Dr. Luisa M. P. Valente, Vice President Professor Dr. Delbert M. Gatling III, and other board members in recognition of his outstanding contribution to fish feed nutrition and aquaculture development in Bangladesh. ISAN highly appreciated Saifi Nasir’s research-based expertise in fish feed nutrition, feed formulation and costing, feed mill management, and his dedicated efforts toward the development of marginal fish farmers.
