| Germany-based Farm Innovation Team (FIT) has taken a major step toward transforming Bangladesh’s poultry industry by introducing a new generation of smart and sustainable farming technologies. The company hosted a technical seminar at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort, jointly organized with Prestige Feed & Ingredient, showcasing innovative equipment and digital solutions aimed at improving farm efficiency, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
The event drew participation from prominent poultry entrepreneurs, farm owners, consultants, and industry experts across the country, reflecting growing interest in advanced production systems and renewable energy integration within Bangladesh’s rapidly expanding poultry sector. In his opening remarks, Mr. Kazi Aziz Sobhan, CEO of Prestige Feed & Ingredient, commended FIT for bringing cutting-edge innovations to Bangladesh. He emphasized that the future of the poultry sector depends on the adoption of smart technologies that ensure productivity while maintaining ecological balance. “Sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand if we invest in modern, data-driven systems,” he noted.
During the seminar, Mr. Jens Rudolph, CEO of Farm Innovation Team (FIT) GmbH, delivered an engaging presentation highlighting several of FIT’s breakthrough technologies. He introduced the Manure Drying System with Solar Panels, a system that transforms wet poultry manure into a dry, high-value organic fertilizer, effectively turning waste into a profitable resource. Another major highlight was the Broiler Cage System, specifically designed for efficient, space-saving, and welfare-friendly poultry production. The system minimizes land and energy requirements while optimizing growth performance through precise temperature and ventilation control. FIT also introduced its advanced Farm Management and IT Monitoring System, a digital platform enabling farmers to track vital farm metrics such as feed conversion, temperature, humidity, and energy use — all from mobile devices. The system empowers farm owners to make informed decisions, reduce operational costs, and achieve consistent performance across large-scale operations. The seminar included international case studies illustrating how automation and renewable energy technologies are reshaping poultry industries worldwide. Participants engaged in open discussions about the challenges of waste management, high input costs, and sustainable resource utilization in Bangladesh’s tropical climate. Concluding the event, FIT representatives expressed their strong commitment to partnering with local stakeholders to modernize the country’s poultry infrastructure. Through innovative solutions, practical training, and technical collaboration, FIT Germany and Prestige Feed & Ingredient aim to accelerate Bangladesh’s transition toward a more productive, eco-friendly, and technology-driven poultry future. |
