Inception Workshop Launched to Align Agriculture with Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100

An Inception Workshop marking the formal commencement of the project titled “Formulation of an Action Plan and Monitoring Framework Aligning with the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 in Agriculture” was held on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, at the Conference Room of the Soil Resource Development Institute (SRDI), Dhaka.

Implemented under the Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Department of Agricultural Extension, the project aims to strengthen policy support and enhance institutional capacity to implement climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural strategies across Bangladesh.

The event was graced by Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, as the Chief Guest, while Jiaoqun Shi, FAO Representative in Bangladesh, attended as the Guest of Honour. Senior officials, technical experts, and key stakeholders from relevant institutions also participated in the workshop, reaffirming their commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture in alignment with the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100.
