| Sigma Group organized an Iftar, prayer gathering and an informal discussion on the poultry and livestock sector on Saturday (March 14) at The Green Lounge Restaurant, 18th Floor, Rupayan Trade Center, 114 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Dhaka. The event brought together industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and media representatives.
Speaking at the program, Sigma Group Chairman Anwar Hossain expressed his appreciation to the officials and employees of Sigma Group, as well as entrepreneurs and journalists working in the poultry and livestock industry. He noted that the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan inspire people to work with honesty, responsibility, and mutual cooperation. He also urged all stakeholders to work together for the continued development of the country’s livestock sector and extended advance greetings for Eid-ul-Fitr. During the discussion session, participants shared their views on several important issues including the current challenges facing the poultry and livestock industry, food security, rising production costs, the use of modern technology, and the need for sustainable sectoral growth. The speakers emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration among private companies, researchers, and the media to support the sector’s development. Among others present at the event were Dr. Golam Morshed, Country Manager of Kemin Bangladesh; Dr. Rajesh Sikder, Sr. Manager, Kemin AquaScience™; Md. Fayzur Rahman (Fayes), Managing Director of Avance Asia Ltd.; and Riazul Islam, DGM of Sigma Bangladesh, along with other stakeholders from the poultry and livestock sector. Following a brief discussion session, a special prayer for the welfare of the sector was conducted by Md. Didarul Alam, Assistant Manager (Credit Control) of Sigma Bangladesh. The event concluded with Iftar and dinner attended by all participants. |
